The Undinic Sisterhood

I embarked on my spiritual journey in 2012 after answering the call of the Gods. Before this awakening, I lived comfortably as an atheist, entirely dismissive of the supernatural. Yet, unable to resist Their unrelenting call, I slowly found my way into the world of the Wica. I started out as a solitary practitioner, developing my own personal system of Wiccan worship. Then, in 2014 during a trip to the Outer Banks, I formed an unexpected and profound bond with the aquatic principle of The Goddess whom I refer to as Ocean Mother. Her mesmerizing song guided me through the difficult process of self dissolution, which was essential for me to sincerely live as a witch. Herein lie the true roots of Undinic Craft.

Guided by Ocean Mother, I pursued the path of Gardnerian Wicca. This journey began in 2017 with a dedication to a Gardnerian outercourt. Through perseverance and resilience in the face of intense challenges, I advanced through the degrees, ultimately earning the privilege of wielding the sword and founding my own coven as a third degree high priestess in 2024.

In 2019, sometime before my formal initiation into the tradition, a close friend and I performed a pre-dawn ritual on the shores of Topsail Island. During the rite, I invoked the spirit of The Goddess, who swept through me and compelled me to plunge into the surf. As I waded into the dark, churning water, a primal terror gripped me, the overwhelming fear that She might swallow me whole. It was then, in that singular moment of absolute awe, that I heard the voice of The Goddess for the first and thus far only time:

“The waves are my children.”

I sat with the phrase for a long time, turning it over in my mind to uncover its true meaning. I continued forward on my Gardnerian path, absorbing the wisdom of The Gods through rigorous study and consistent practice. It is a tradition I hold deeply and approach with the utmost reverence, following the path laid out for me even when I harbored profound reservations about taking such a trek. Guided by Their wisdom, I have undergone a profound transformation, one I never could have imagined, and one that would have remained entirely out of my reach as a solitary practitioner.

My deep connection to Water has always remained at the forefront of my spiritual journey while my studies in Gardnerian craft provided the framework to understand all the elements in a thoughtful and meaningful context. Sometime after achieving the status of autonomous high priestess and coven leader, I finally understood what The Goddess meant when She told me the waves were Her children: She was speaking of the undina, the “little waves.” With my continued dedication to serving The Gods of the Wica, I felt it was time to pick up where I left off with my dear Ocean Mother and begin actively serving Her and Her children.

My internal musings and philosophies regarding the nature of Water and its witchcraft applications have finally materialized into a comprehensive, structured path. I am eager to share this system with those who dare to dive with me into the deep. While The Undinic Sisterhood operates as an initiatory tradition, I am delighted to offer guidance and non-oathbound practices for those who are unwilling or unable to join a Cove. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. As a devoted servant of The Gods of the Wica and the aquatic principle of The Goddess, I embrace this calling with an open heart and open arms.

May you ebb and flow with the spirit of Ocean Mother and Her daughters.
